Feminine Hygiene Drive

Oftentimes we take for granted what people don’t have. As an organization, we have been exposed to so much since we began this work. Many young ladies that are experiencing homelessness or lack the funding to purchase feminine hygiene products will miss school or work until their menstrual cycles have passed. This is extremely unfortunate because they are missing out on income or curriculum. We will be partnering with local businesses and organizations, detailing where goods can be dropped off and providing specific information about how monetary donations can be made. Feminie hygiene products are essential.Help us place as many products as possible in schools and homeless shelters.

Educator Back 2 School Supply Drive

“Teaching is one profession that creates all other professions.” ~Unknown.

On average, public school teachers spend about $500 annually out of pocket to stock their classrooms with items needed to assist students who do not have. In highly impoverished areas, those teachers spend more. Bear Strong wants to assist educators who incur this expense by having a Back to School Supply Drive for teachers. Bear Strong keeps it focused on essentials. Assist us with easing this burden for teachers. Preparing students to be equipped to learn and lessening the financial load for teachers.

Look forward to more details for this event that will take place in July 2022.

Books and Bikes!

“Reading is to the mind what exercise is to the body.” ~Joseph Addison

Bear Strong will be partnering with Callaway Elementary School creating a possibility for students to do both; learn and exercise. Callaway Elementary hosts an annual Reading Celebration that awards the students with the most books read a bicycle for their efforts. Callaway is a school that understands that a sound foundation in reading is imperative for lifelong learning success. Statistics have shown that students from low income schools show tremendous deficits in reading, which hinders academic success in other content areas. Bear Sills and his love of cycling found this to be an awesome collaboration for the organization. Incentives promote better participation and greater probability for success. Principal Dr. Sheadric Barbra boasts that this is a true highlight of the school year.
